SignPlus Dunfermline Half Marathon
incorporating 2010 scottishathletics Half Marathon Championships
The SignPlus Dunfermline Half Marathon is now the centrepiece for a whole weekend of activities. Everyone from the serious runner to those just looking to improve their general fitness level and quality of life will find an event of interest to them over the weekend. The Half Marathon starts at 11.00am prompt on Sunday 13th June 2010 from Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline.
25th Anniversary of Half Marathon
2010 sees the 25th Anniversary of Dunfermline first half marathon staged in 1985!
The Scottish National Half Marathon Championships will be held in Dunfermline for the seventh consecutive year. In addition, the Half Marathon will also feature as one of only six events in the prestigious Stewart's Grand Prix series.
As Scotland's representative on the UK Athletics home international circuit, Dunfermline will host the first UK home international challenge. There will be invitations going out around the world for teams to take part from Europe, North America and Africa. In this special year Dunfermline is really going places!

To all who took part over the weekend of 12 & 13 June, thank you for being part of Run Dunfermline's 25th Anniversary celebrations. Thank you also to all the volunteers who generously gave of their time.

Whether you took part in the I & H Brown Pittencrieff Park 5K, the Step Up Health & Fitness Family Fun Run or the SignPlus Dunfermline Half Marathon, we’re inviting you to take part in our survey. The information we collect will help us evaluate the events. We will use this to reinforce any strengths and identify and address any weaknesses, all contributing to a better event in 2011. Entry Requirements
The race is open to all runners aged 17 years and older on 13th June 2010.
Please be aware that for the safety of runners, and for event management reasons the course will remain open for a period of 3 hours – that’s a 13 minute 45 seconds per mile pace. After this time a safety bus will traverse the route to collect any runners who feel unable to complete the course and wish transport to the finish. This is a road race - a running event under Scottish Athletics / UKA permit conditions.

Affiliated entrants are those from athletics clubs affiliated to Scottish Athletics Ltd or UK Athletics.
All entrants to the 2010 SignPlus Dunfermline Half Marathon will receive a free Run Dunfermline t-shirt on completion of the race.
How to Enter
Advance entries for the 2010 SignPlus Dunfermline Half Marathon will close at midnight on 10th June 2010. Entries will be accepted on race day but race day entry numbers will be limited.

An entry form must be completed for every runner wishing to enter any of the Run Dunfermline events, including the SignPlus Dunfermline Half Marathon, the I & H Brown Pittencrieff Park 5K, the Auld Toun 10K and the Step Up Family Fun Run.
Entry vouchers for the Step Up Family Fun Run can also be purchased using the main entry form but an entrant declaration must be completed on race day prior to the Step Up Family Fun Run start in order to be issued with a race number.
